Where there's a will, there's a way!

I know I don't usually write about the pics on this blog, but this picture just isn't as funny if you don't know the story that goes with it. A couple months ago Jacob discovered the buttons on the TV, and he has been pushing them every since much to my frustration. So I started putting things in front of the TV so he couldn't reach the buttons. First I put the big toybox there, but Jacob quickly figured out how to push it out of his way. Then I switched and put the heavy coffee table/trunk in front of the TV. This worked for about a week (maybe) until he figured out how to climb on top of it. So this morning after taking him off the coffee table where he was standing for the millionth time I decided to set up a barricade. I started with the pack and play, but because it is light and easy to move I also built a fortress around it with heavier pieces of furniture. Feeling satisfied in my son's safety, I went into the kitchen to make lunch. After about five minutes, if that long, I hear the TV come on. What!? Yes. The little monkey named Jacob that lives in this house climbed over all of that and INTO his pack and play just to push the buttons on the TV.
